      Purpose: Perform standardized product and packaging testing in development of consumer packaging E2E. Use test methods based on industry standards to assure quality, compliance and satisfaction of brand product goals.

      Scope: Lead all commercialization testing for relative brand(s) and communicate results to various cross functional partners while meeting established timelines to ensure a successful product launch. Responsibility includes testing for product stability, compatibility, and packaging.

      Accountability: Report directly to the Senior Lab Engineer – R&D Testing Lab. Indirectly work with Product Development / Package Engineering / Quality Assurance / Research and Development within BBW and third party vendors.

      Desired Outcomes: Thorough evaluation of every consumer product and package to ensure functionality, performance, and usage. Maintenance of SAP PLM and data systems. Assure all PDR / packaging requests are placed on test. Build external vendor relationships as well as internal cross functional relationships!

      Responsibilities

      • Responsible for supervising incoming samples for all vital commercialization testing.
      • Insures correctness of samples as per packaging test plan or PDR.
      • Reviews test request to insure all pertinent information is present.
      • Sets up and places samples on test and pulls for review on the appropriate schedule.
      • Performs indicated tests for stability, compatibility, and package testing on various product forms.
      • Works with approved vendors to supervise and handle external stability testing by identifying, communicating, and resolving OOS conditions.
      • Tracks and reports results for both commercialized and non-commercialized projects.
      • Lead and maintain all project tracking tools (test orders, OOS, etc.) and input results into database system.
      • Perform testing priorities as indicated by timelines, such as compatibility, transit, product resistance, etc. and insure testing is completed in a timely manner according to test plans.
      • Maintain SOP and test method procedures.
      • Communicate out of specification test results in a timely manner.
      • Participate in commercialization meetings and handle cross functional relationships by efficiently communicating testing status.
      • Assist complaint investigations and resolutions as pertaining to package components.

      Qualifications

      • 0 – 2 years testing laboratory experience preferably in related industry.
      • Strong organizational and communication skills to ensure all relative responsibilities are addressed and maintained according to established timelines.
      • Proficiency in PC Skills in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Access, and Power Point.
      • Validated understanding of Technical Systems and Data Leadership Skills.
      • Ability to distinguish between colors with little variation.

      Education

      • Technical degree in related field; BS science/engineering or related degree preferred
