What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assess incoming data from risk adjustment vendors and calculate financial penalties based on contractual performance
- Support vendor contract negotiations through cost analysis, ROI estimation, and budget forecasting
- Develop new approaches to validate, collect, and organize vendor data using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
- Review and validate invoice submissions to ensure alignment with contractual agreements
- Perform credit/reimbursement true-up analyses at the finalization of vendor projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or other analytical fields preferred
- Knowledge of accounting entries/accruals/month-end close process
- Ability to work in Excel; experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPA certification preferred
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically Workday
- Experience in Billing, Purchasing, or Procurement
- Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial risk adjustment experience is a plus
- Experience programming in SAS/SQL is a plus
