Imaging Radiology opportunity within the Fargo VA Health Care System!Duties
Performs duties and responsibilities of a radiologist in the areas of general radiology, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, ultrasound, DEXA, nuclear medicine, and basic interventional procedures.
Participates in and supports performance improvement activities, including, but not limited to, external review programs, internal peer review programs, and accreditation requirements.
Utilizes Powerscribe and ensures timely and consistent imaging reporting and record keeping. Provides accurate, concise, timely documentation of care in the electronic medical record (Computerized Patient Record System -CPRS) on each patient care occurrence. Interpretation and dictation of reports must be completed utilizing PowerScribe voice recognition system for dictation and in the required VAMC format. Verification of reports must be completed, in accordance with established metrics.
Ensures communication for direct patient care is accomplished among imaging staff and providers.
Is knowledgeable of changes associated with aging and principles of growth and development relevant to the adult and geriatric age groups. Has ability to assess and interpret data about the patient's status; and ability to identify age-specific needs and provide the appropriate care based upon the age related factors.
RESEARCH AND EDUCATION
Participates in education of facility and Imaging staff and students from affiliated programs.
Supports and participates in continuous learning and self-development.
Stays abreast of advances in imaging services.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
