scheduling exams in the radiology information system (Radiant),
arranging and scheduling inpatients to come down for their appointments, and
transporting patients to and from the radiology department.

Main Hospital Campus 2p-10p
Fanny Campus 2p-10p. at the Main Hospital Campus
High school graduate or equivalent.
LNA or comparable medical experience preferred.
This position requires verification of your high school diploma. Please be prepared to provide a copy should you be invited in for an interview.
Previous hospital or health care experience preferred, candidates with more than 1 year of experience will be hired as a Medical Assistant II, candidates with less than 1 year or no prior experience will be hired as a Medical Assistant I.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Radiology Medical Assistant assists radiologic technologists (MRI Techs) in conducting patient exams by assisting in the clerical and non-technical and non - exposure technical aspects of the exam. The RMA is responsible for assisting the technologists, Radiology Nurse and radiologists in many functions including:
Our Radiology Medical Assistants will be trained to start IV’s in some modalities.
SCHEDULE:
This person will work Monday through Friday, 245pm-1045pm at the Tilley drive location in South Burlington, Vt. If the schedule does not allow us to open this scanner (based on technologist availability), this person will float to the Main Hospital Campus. Additionally, periodically, this staff member may be asked to fill in at Fanny Allen MRI.
