      Primary Job Duties

      Ramp Agents are responsible for processing baggage between baggage areas in the airport facilities and aircraft, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft.

      • Loading and unloading aircraft and carts
      • Stacking and un-stack baggage in aircraft
      • Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment
      • Drive and operate motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belt)
      • Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags
      • Escort passengers and special needs customers safely and courteously
      • Ensure compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies

      Minimum Requirements

      We are looking for individuals excited to take on new challenges, especially within the airline industry! SkyWest Ramp Agents come from a wide range of backgrounds, education, interests, and experience. To apply, you only have to meet the following criteria:

      • Be at least 18 years old
      • Possess a valid unrestricted state-issued driver’s license
      • Have a High School Diploma or GED
      • Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs clearances required
      • Able to pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen
      • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

      Physical and Other Requirements

      • Ability to lift heavy bags more than 50 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation
      • Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
      • Attend 4 days of Basic Station Training
      • Flexible schedule required, including availability to work split shifts including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
      • Part-time and full-time positions may be available
      • Starting at $13 an hour
      • This is not a Department of Transportation Safety Sensitive position
