What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research on domestic and international social policy issues and national security problems
- Present research findings to the RAND community through briefings at the end of the program
- Collaborate effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary research team
- Participate in seminars and networking events to enhance professional development
- Engage closely with mentors to gain insights and guidance throughout the research process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a full-time doctoral student in psychology or related fields with at least two years of graduate work completed
- Strong interest in applied, policy-oriented research questions
- Excellent analytic skills and proven ability in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Legal right to work in the United States is required upon hire; U.S. Citizenship is not necessary except for specific project work
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience or coursework in one of the following specializations: Quantitative Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Health/Social Psychology, Educational/Developmental Psychology, or Clinical/Community Psychology
- Familiarity with methodological areas such as health care, public safety, and program evaluation
