What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and correct pertinent information for outstanding accounts receivable, including patient and insurance details
- Prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies, resolving claim holds and denials as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- Document all actions taken on accounts worked and report barriers to billing and claim reimbursement
- Meet daily productivity and quality expectations specific to the client or position
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Hospital Billing/Collections or Medical Billing
- Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection for remote work
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong critical thinking skills
- Proven record of accuracy and efficiency in billing processes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional experience in AR follow-up/collections, appeal writing, and root cause analysis
- Familiarity with billing regulations, claim form requirements, and appeal processes for various payer sources
