    • Strong knowledge base in working with and teaching/coaching adults ? Willingness and commitment to include equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices
    • Knowledge of the Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Assessment Systems & Continuum
    • Knowledge of scientifically-based reading research, specialized expertise in quality reading instruction, the ability to infuse reading strategies into content area instruction, and proficiency in data management
    • Familiarity with a range of research-based interventions and strategies
    • Knowledgeable about Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
    • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to work cooperatively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators
    • Ability to motivate and inspire elementary school students and teachers
    • Ability to transform instruction through the creative use of technology
    • Knowledge of instructional practices for varied learning styles and individual student needs
    • Ability to teach subject content in an integrated manner
    • Understanding of, appreciation for, and ability to positively respond to the unique developmental traits of elementary school students
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening skills)
    • Understanding of developmentally-appropriate curriculum
    • Willingness and commitment to participate in curriculum development, school improvement committees, and professional development opportunities
