What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage design and construction activities for assigned capital projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness
- Coordinate project communications and maintain relationships with hospital operations leadership
- Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved documents, regulations, and codes
- Develop project management teams and establish responsibilities for each project phase
- Negotiate fees and business decisions for project vendors in alignment with employer policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading project management design and construction projects
- Thorough working knowledge of project construction budgets and controls
- Demonstrated success in delivering major healthcare capital projects
- Experience with construction processes, building, and life safety codes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge in health facility preconstruction services
- Familiarity with equipment planning processes
- Professional license or certification in Project Management
- Experience with Lean Process Improvement and Change Management
- Knowledge of effective problem-solving and risk analysis strategies
