- Performs outgranting of federal lands and ensures compliance with real estate agreement terms.
- Prepare real estate documents in accordance with regulations, policies, and laws and insure proper coordination.
- Research, write, and recommend for approval the real estate section of planning reports and other documents as required.
- Negotiate and prepare out grants authorizing the temporary use of Government property to other Government agencies, state and political subdivision, and private individuals.
- Establish work schedule, deadline, and standard for acceptable work.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued motor vehicle driver's license.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for USACE for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a team member of Real Estate's Technical Services Branch supporting the Great Lakes area. Incumbent performs work in real estate functions across the Engineering District of Detroit.Duties

Specialized Experience GS-09: One year of specialized experience includes planning and directing real estate transactions to accomplish leasing or management of civil works real property; providing technical guidance on real property acquisition or management; providing professional and technical real estate advice. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Real Estate, Business Administration or Business Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience includes planning and directing real estate transactions to accomplish acquisition, disposal, and management of civil works real property; develop funding requirements and schedules; providing technical guidance on real property acquisition, management, and disposal; providing professional and technical advice to the Real Estate Chief and District elements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Real Estate, Business Administration, or Business Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
