**What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):**
- Prepare collection letters in accordance with policy and ensure timely distribution to providers
- Follow up on outstanding claims by contacting providers to verify receipt and obtain status
- Investigate claim disputes, identifying issues promptly and escalating as necessary
- Document activities diligently utilizing established tools and systems
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards set by the department
**What is Required (Qualifications):**
- High School graduate or equivalent education
- 1 to 3 years of prior collections or customer service experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Required knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Ability to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work
**How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):**
- Billing or coding experience
