What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Act as an advocate for the employer and their dealerships, creating a pipeline of technicians through the Volvo Technician Apprentice Program
- Strategize with dealers and field staff on technician pipelines and recruitment efforts
- Attend career fairs and meet with students to promote dealership opportunities
- Develop relationships with accredited automotive programs and local schools to facilitate technician recruitment
- Support the employer's recruitment initiatives through presentations and participation in events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Recruiting or job placement experience preferred
- Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with team members and educational organizations
- Self-starter with flexibility to adapt to shifting focus between relationship building and candidate pipeline development
- Proficient in common workplace and database software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must have a valid driver's license and be fluent in English
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Automotive dealership experience preferred but not required
- Technician experience preferred but not required
- Public speaking proficiency and social media savvy
- Education in a related field, such as a Tech School Certificate or degree in Automotive Technology
