Job Description
- Req#: JR9805
- To manage recruitment process across your depot to ensure consistency and focus on quality at all depots.
- To use Workday to advertise all roles, both Operations and Engineering
- Work with other depots, Marketing, and central team to maximise recruitment campaigns
- To view, process all applications for vacancies
- Arrange interviews, medicals and ensure that correct documentation is in place
- Work closely with engineering on training bus availability and quality
- Produce all contracts of employment
- Check references
- Produce reports on a regular basis for recruitment needs

Applications are invited for the post of Full Time Recruitment Assistant based at Stockport Depot.
With over 1800 colleagues spread across six sites; Stagecoach Manchester is one of the country’s biggest bus operators. We are recruiting a full time Recruitment Assistant to join the team, to help us as we expand our business due to the successful award of Greater Manchester Franchising contracts based in Middleton, Oldham and Queens Road depots.
This a permanent position that will work under the Operations Manager/Fleet Engineer dealing with and supporting the management team with everything
recruitment related.
The principal duties and responsibilities are: -
We are looking for someone who is committed to public transport, computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, be adaptable to new systems, flexible in their approach to work and be able to work accurately despite tight deadlines.
Previous recruitment experience is an advantage.
Stagecoach Manchester uses Workday systems to assist with recruitment and knowledge of this system is desirable, although training will be given.
