- Strong commercial negotiator, preferably evidenced both within the private and public healthcare sector
- Proven commercial success at a National Level
- Strong clinical skillset with experience in implementing change in techniques for consultant surgeons and support staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as a team player and interact with several other departments to build the value proposition for the customer, but also independently
- Act with integrity in relation to customers and work colleagues
- Proactive performance orientation with ability to develop and implement business plan specific to UK refractive arena
- Liaise with Head of Strategy and Marketing, Service department, Clinical Applications colleagues, Customer Partner team and other departments within Zeiss to ensure maximal customer satisfaction.
- Ability to develop relationship with KOLs, Theatre personnel, Surgeons, Clinical Educators, Nursing Staff, Business Managers, Finance directors, EBME, NHS Framework and Supplies Departments within the NHS and Private Sector
- University degree in a science, product related field or business, or a graduate from a higher institution, or equivalent.
- Proven sales record within UK Refractive Marketplace
- Proven sales record in high value Ophthalmic Surgical consumable and capital environment.
- Extensive experience in clinical support of complex surgery, preferably with refractive experience
- Working knowledge and understanding of ophthalmic theatre/clinic environment
- Ability to develop strong relationships with all levels of staff within an NHS and Private Sector
- National Commercial role within medical device industry
Offering expert clinical applications support to drive customer confidence and therefore volumes of consumable packs through both new and existing users.
Understand and develop complex funding mechanisms and offer most appropriate option for both customer and Carl Zeiss within each opportunity.
Responsible for planning and forecasting of all sales activities and keeping all activities up to date in CRM system.
Maintaining and developing a dynamic market map of UK refractive treatment centers, and centers looking to develop a refractive service. To use marketing intelligence to target appropriately to increase the install base, and therefore market share of Carl Zeiss Equipment.
The be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to coordinate and manage high value commercial offerings through the development of robust business cases to clinicians, hospital managers and finance managers which clearly articulate the returns potential of significant investments.
Work alongside practice development consultancy team to grow customer procedure volumes. Tailoring materials and programs created by global team to offer bespoke support to UK customers to drive consumable sales.
