What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise coding, data abstraction, and associated coding activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Manage workflow related to coding and abstracting, meeting productivity standards to achieve unbilled targets
- Provide direction for coding activities and support the coding quality improvement process
- Prepare various reports and records as needed
- Interact with department personnel, physicians, and external individuals to facilitate coding operations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding classification systems
- Minimum of 5+ years of coding experience
- Associate degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field
- RHIT Certification
- Above average general office and computer skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience managing large teams and driving process improvement activities at the corporate level
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field
- RHIA Certification
- 2+ years of leadership experience
