What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and manage litter cleanup operations throughout the Central Region, overseeing multiple crew supervisors and up to 80 crew members
- Recruit, interview, and hire youth and adults for litter crew positions
- Ensure safe operational practices and provide adequate training for crew members
- Manage grant funds administration in coordination with local governments and stakeholders
- Develop regional work plans and policies while coordinating with statewide counterparts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in environmental analysis, control, planning, community outreach, or supervisory roles
- Education involving a major study in environmental, physical, or natural science, planning, business administration, or closely allied fields
- Must pass a Washington State Criminal History Background check
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must be available for fieldwork and occasional extended hours
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Working knowledge of grant administration procedures and accounting practices
- Experience supervising youth and adults in a work setting
- Knowledge of litter pickup programs and solid waste management practices
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
