What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide field access support services and education to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to maximize patient access to products
- Communicate with Specialty Pharmacies (SPs) and Patient-Physician Services to support marketed products
- Build and maintain relationships with pharmacies and HCPs to resolve coverage problems for prescriptions
- Train HCPs on payer-specific coverage policies and patient financial assistance programs
- Monitor and enhance the effectiveness of the pharmacy distribution network through vetting processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS/BA degree in a related field and 6+ years of pharma/biotech commercial experience, including 2+ years with specialty pharmacy/market access
- Strong understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, and pharmacy benefit managers
- Excellent knowledge of patient support programs and the prescription adjudication process
- Ability to communicate payer coverage criteria and prior authorization processes
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 60%
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred with 4+ years of related experience
- Experience in other functions within pharma/biotech, such as sales, management, or marketing
- Familiarity with current issues in the pharmaceutical industry and national healthcare system
- Proven leadership skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Excellent project management and analytical thinking skills
