- Maintain strong relationships through systemic contact with existing customer base of wholesalers, distributors, and retailers.
- Seek out and generate new accounts to grow sales volumes and profits.
- Oversee Sales Operating Plan to meet or exceed targeted sales numbers.
- Partner with Shopper Marketing to create best “Go to Market” strategies for in-store execution.
- Communicate effectively across functions (Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
- Partner with innovation and marketing teams on new product development with the goal of increasing sales.
- Manage administrative duties such as reporting, monitoring trade spending, forecasting, budgeting, travel, and expenses.
- Participate in industry specific associations, trade shows, and customer events.
- Deep understanding of trade dynamics, including pricing strategies, promotional planning, and effective merchandising.
- Develop and implement trade strategies that align with regional goals, ensuring optimal use of trade spend and maximizing ROI.
- Increase market share and revenue through efficient execution of trade programs.
- Highly analytical with a focus on ensuring accuracy in forecasts, sales data, and reporting.
- Monitor sales trends, track performance, and identify opportunities or risks within the region.
- Ensure data-driven decisions and precise execution of sales strategies.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, including brokers and third-party partners who may not directly report to you.
- Build strong relationships, inspire alignment with company objectives, and provide clear direction to ensure successful execution at the field level.
- Foster teamwork and accountability to achieve sales targets and enhance regional performance.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate with Category Managers and senior stakeholders.
- Present insights and strategies clearly, tailor communication to diverse audiences, and build trust with decision-makers.
- Strengthen relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders, driving alignment and successful outcomes in the region.
- 5+ years sales experience in the consumer-packaged goods or food and beverage industry
- Relevant experience with distributors and wholesalers
- Proven track record of seeking out new customers and developing a business
- Fluent in Spanish
- Negotiation skills, conflict resolution, and the ability to influence
- Ability to be effective in a result driven, entrepreneurial, fast-paced work environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical and decision-making ability
- Ability to be self-sufficient and take initiative for new opportunities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- This is a home-based position that must be in Texas
- Travel 30 - 40%.
- The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is necessary.
- Normally, a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending on the project or assignment.
JOB SUMMARY
The Southwest (TX) is a top growth priority for Lala US and this role will be front and center in driving that growth. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of the sales function relating to distributors, wholesalers, and independent retailers. This position is responsible for maintaining an existing customer base of wholesalers, retailers, and distributors and identifying and growing new accounts. This role will work closely with the Retail Operations Leaders in Texas.
