      Desjardins is a leading national provider of group retirement savings and investment solutions.

      The Regional Vice President (RVP), Business Development and Investment Strategy leads the business development, client relationship teams in Ontario and Atlantic Canada and national investment solutions team.

      This includes oversight for all clients and strategic partnerships with consultants and advisors in the regions. The RVP is responsible for client-facing aspects of the business related to overall client satisfaction, business development, sales, client relationship management, retention, growth and profitability.

      While also providing national leadership and oversight for the core investment platform, the evolution of the investment offer and investment strategy for group retirement solutions. Currently the RVP oversees a team of professions based in Toronto and Halifax.

      The RVP will represent the regional teams, clients and strategic partners and investment solutions by collaborating with peers nationally and in support of achieving defined objectives and key performance indicators.

      General Information on the Position

      Main responsibilities

      • Support strategic direction for the Ontario and Atlantic regions and Investment Solutions

      • Actively participate in regional, national and investment market opportunities representing Desjardins

      • Lead the client relationship management, business development and investment solution teams

      • Develop and grow relationships with national and regional strategic clients and partners

      • Collaborate with the broader Group Retirement Savings and Desjardins businesses

      • Actively contribute to and lead projects in support of growth and retention

      • Lead investment solution initiatives and participate in governance committees

      • Contribute and lead key initiatives in support of the strategic plan and growth aspirations

      • Lead teams in achievement of client retention and growth targets

      • Attract, lead, develop and retain a high performing team

      • Support the team in issue resolution and continuous improvements

      • Remain current on sales prospecting, business practices and product offering

      • Regularly present in prospective client, sales, client, industry presentations

      • Promote a culture of engagement that reflects Desjardins behaviours and fundamentals.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

      • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience leading client relationships, business development strategies and investment and/or investment solutions, including four years in management

      • Master’s degree (an asset)

      • Hold the following accreditations: ASA, CFA, Financial Security Advisor and/or Group Annuity License
