      We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Registrar to join the Mountainside Team!


      Responsibilities

      What You’ll Do

      The PER DIEM Registrar will be responsible for serving as liaison between Finance, Nursing and Physician offices, obtaining accurate demographic information, record and verify all pertinent information from insurance companies in respect to a patient’s authorization for services, eligibility and benefits.

      • Register patients, obtains accurate demographic and insurance information
      • Handle main telephone lines for the Department
      • Provide patients with information required by federal mandates, i.e., Patient Rights and Responsibilities, and Advance Care Directives
      • Obtain appropriate signatures and copies and/or scans all identification and healthcare coverage presented
      • Communicate all information and financial responsibility to the patient/guarantor
      • Complete registration forms, insurance forms, HMO referrals, processes medical record requests, and any other MFP office forms required by our patients
      • Provide general non-clinical information regarding the Family Practice Group and gives necessary instructions prior to appointments
      • Maintain confidentiality with all information
      • Perform any and all other duties as assigned

      Qualifications

      What You’ll Bring

      • High School Diploma Required

      • 1+ year working in medical/and or medical insurance areas preferred

      • Knowledge of Medical Terminology

      • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

      • Excellent customer service skills and strong ability to multi-task
