      We wish to recruit an experienced and capable professional for the EU Regulatory Affairs team. This role can be based in one of our offices, hybrid or remote within the UK or Republic of Ireland.

      The EU Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible for assisting the team with regulatory oversight and filings as necessary to market Neogen products, with the addition of other tasks necessary to obtaining and maintaining compliant registrations including label updates that enable revenue streams. Primary responsibility is Animal Biosecurity (ABS) products. However, oversight of other products within Neogen’s portfolio, including Food Safety and Genomics, is also the key to success.

      Neogen specialises in solutions for animal and food safety offering a diverse range of products and services for the agriculture, animal protein, food and beverage industries.

      The successful individual will have a proven background in EU biocides products regulations PT1-4 with experience in national and BPR registrations. This position will help support Neogen product compliance in the EU and UK. Duties and responsibilities, as well as additional tasks as requested by the Director of Regulatory Affairs.

      What you’ll be doing:

      • Develop a working knowledge of pertinent regulations within the EU and chemical regulations, such as, ECHA - BPR, REACH, Detergents, CLP, GHS, FIFRA, TSCA, etc.

      • Interpret local regulations to ensuring products are compliant.

      • Ability to think and work on a global scale by communicating with partners and team members in other regions of the world.

      • Assist in developing registration strategies for new products by skillfully using existing regulations as a tool.

      • Identifying local regulations that may affect product portfolios.

      • Present documents, correspondence, and other submissions to authorities in a professional, complete, and accurate manner with demonstrated attention to detail.

      • Supports product development by ensuring raw materials are compliant with local relevant chemical legislation.

      • Form and maintain relationships with internal and external persons, including but not limited to, trade groups and regulatory authorities.

      • Works collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure goals are met.

      • May provide briefings to management on new or evolving regulatory issues and requirements as requested of him/her.

      • Provide guidance to sales staff on pertinent regulatory issues and requirements.

      • Ability to communicate regulations for non-technical business partners.

      • Travel up to 15%

      About you:

      • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification within chemistry or a relevant field.

      • Proven experience in a similar position with knowledge of biopesticide regulations

      • Experience in using regulatory IT systems, such as, IUCLID 5/6, REACH-IT, R4BP, US EPA CDX, etc.

      • Professionally and tactfully responds to requests for assistance and service from both internal and external customers. Reacts well under pressure/stress.
