What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and analyze federal and state laws affecting the employer’s workers’ compensation, auto, and commercial program operations
- Provide cross-functional support in developing policies and procedures for legal and regulatory compliance
- Secure and maintain all required operational licenses
- Support onboarding and implementation of new clients in workers’ compensation, auto, and commercial programs
- Conduct internal audits and identify opportunities for process improvement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managed care setting with knowledge of laws impacting workers’ compensation, auto, and/or commercial health insurers
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory affairs or operations of HMOs, managed care organizations, or other insurers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal workers’ compensation, auto, and/or commercial managed healthcare regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Advanced legal research abilities
- Experience with regulations governing utilization management, claims, and credentialing
- Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships and engage stakeholders
- Familiarity with compliance training program development
