What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and monitor large projects or accounting processes within the regulatory reporting function
- Provide guidance and interpretation of accounting policies and procedural changes to business lines
- Direct capital reporting teams by reviewing financial information, reporting, and disclosures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and communicate accounting developments to management
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement and standardize new regulatory reporting requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent field
- 9+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field within the Banking or Financial Services Industry
- Advanced understanding of accounting practices, including US GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting standards
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and customer service skills
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and make effective decisions on complex matters
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent field
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification
- Advanced database skills (Access, SQL, Oracle, SAS)
- Knowledge of European Basel III capital reporting
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
