      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for inpatient and outpatient services by reviewing medical records
      - Ensure accuracy in the assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes for physician services
      - Respond to requests from Patient Business Services for assistance with coding corrections and appeal letters
      - Provide expert guidance on coding and documentation to administrators and staff
      - Assist in training and providing coverage for other coding staff as needed

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma or equivalent
      - Current certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
      - Minimum of one year of work experience in a comparable coding position

      - Familiarity with third-party payer regulations
      - Strong communication and problem-solving skills
