What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage various aspects of medical billing, including claim creation and submission
- Obtain and review supporting documentation such as medical records and authorizations
- Monitor insurance denials and follow up with insurance companies to resolve issues
- Document claim actions and maintain accurate patient account records
- Collaborate with various teams to address claim and account issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2+ years of work experience as an Accounts Receivable/Denial specialist
- Proficient in medical information systems and records management software
- Strong communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of third-party reimbursement rules and regulations
- Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Professional Physician (ProFee) coding experience
- Experience in medical billing
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
