What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare for patient visits by reviewing patient records, including reason for visit and medical history
- Facilitate communication between the provider and patient as an interpreter, when necessary
- Accurately document medical visits and procedures in real time
- Schedule follow-up appointments and manage referrals as needed
- Assist in training newly hired medical scribes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Excellent skills in accurately documenting patients' medical histories and understanding provider instructions
- Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and self-motivation
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-stress environment
- Understanding of HIPAA confidentiality standards
- Experience with medical terminology and proficiency in computer and phone skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- MD Degree from Mexico
- Bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish
- Willingness to make a one-year commitment to the position
