What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately code inpatient and/or day surgery records using the ICD-10-CM/PCS coding system
- Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations set by regulatory agencies
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and accounts receivable goals
- Abstract prescribed data elements from medical records
- Maintain high standards of customer service and quality in all coding tasks

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of day surgery or inpatient coding experience
- Required certification: CCS or RHIT or RHIA

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in Health Information Technology
- Dual certification of CCS and RHIT/RHIA
