What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Book domestic and international reservations for air travel, hotels, and car rentals
- Respond to requests for price quotations utilizing automated systems for international itineraries
- Promote acceptance of fares, rates, and suppliers aligned with client travel policies
- Maintain professional and courteous client relations through prompt communication
- Monitor and work global distribution systems (GDS) queues daily for quality control
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 4 years of active experience as a Travel Consultant within the last 6 years
- 1-2 years of international travel experience
- Corporate Travel experience and proficiency in Sabre GDS
- Demonstrated professional customer service skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of domestic and international faring, ticketing procedures, and commission structures
- Demonstrated internet research skills for customer information
- Professional telephone skills and the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with airline terminology, codes, fare basis, and industry contacts
