What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide telephonic crisis intervention services, assessment, and referral to individuals in distress
- Screen, assess, and triage calls while adhering to established protocols and guidelines
- Maintain accurate documentation during calls in accordance with company policies
- Collaborate with shift supervisors and other staff to ensure effective crisis management
- Facilitate linkage and follow-up services for callers to ensure they receive appropriate support

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Intermediate to proficient knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Critical thinking skills and attention to detail in decision-making and reporting

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of mental health and addictive diseases
- Previous experience in crisis counseling or similar roles
- Strong conflict management and distress tolerance skills
- Ability to train and develop new staff members
