      Job summary

Mayflower Medical Group is looking for a Remote First Contact Physio who will work alongside a team of in person physios as we look to grow our team of GPs, ANPs, Paramedics, PCN staff, and Nurses in order to provide outstanding patient care and ensure longer and healthier lives.

As an organisation we are constantly looking for new and innovative way of working. We are committed to our staff and their personal development in order to provide an all encompassing service to our patients. We have an e-consultation service that often attracts an array of Musculoskeletal issues. A remote physio can add further efficiency to our process and allow for MSK issues to receive care from home.

The surgery which has 5 sites across Plymouth, is in the process of returning towards a traditional model of General Practice in which should see an improved level of access for all. We are wanting a physio who can be based remotely across the UK to aid our growing multi disciplinary team.

      Main duties of the job

Provide clinical expertise, acting as first-contact physiotherapist and making decisions about the best course of action for patients' care (including in relation to undifferentiated conditions). This will involve engaging with patients, without prior contact with their GP, in order to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan.

      About us

Recently acquired by the Fuller and Forbes partnership, Mayflower Medical Group is a collection of 5 GP Surgeries based across Plymouth. Our surgeries provide healthcare to 35,000 patients at the following locations Stirling Road, Ernesettle, Trelawny, Mannamead and Mount Gould.

As a group, our vision is to enable patients to live longer and healthier lives that are full, active and meaningful. We aim to do this by developing a sustainable primary healthcare service. Our service is undertaken by our vast multidisciplinary team of GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Pharmacists, Paramedics and Nursing teams, as well as our PCN staff.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
