      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Code IRF records using the current ICD coding version within the timeframe set by the supervisor
      - Collaborate closely with the PPS Coordinator/Outcomes Manager to assign the Impairment Code for admissions and newly diagnosed conditions
      - Serve as back-up for transmitting IRF PAIs for all Medicare inpatients in a timely manner
      - Maintain confidentiality of all patient care information to protect patient rights
      - Participate in continuing education classes and training programs to ensure professional growth

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Certifications: RHIT, RHIA, or coding certification (CCA, CCS) by AHIMA or coding certification (CPC, CIC) by AAPC required
      - Minimum of two years of current experience in inpatient rehabilitation hospital coding (UB04 and IRF PAI)
      - Advanced computer knowledge and familiarity with basic office equipment
      - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
      - Ability to adhere to organizational policies regarding ethical business practices and patient confidentiality

      - Experience in a remote coding environment
      - Additional certifications related to healthcare coding
      - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
      - Knowledge of coding software and tools commonly used in the industry
      - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
