What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assign personnel to various posts or patrols
- Supervise operation procedures and activities for a client's security services
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business demands and document complex business processes
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and prepare appropriate documentation
- Prepare work schedule and review leave requests for approval/denial
- Continually communicate with clients to assist them with security matters and improve services
- Receive and resolve irregularity reports
- Administer a variety of business-related paperwork
- Perform a variety of security-related investigations
- Review recorded data to determine appropriate courses of action
- Coordinate post orders, updates, and revisions
- On-call during off hours
- Provide transportation services using a variety of vehicles
- Provide emergency medical intervention including CPR, AED, and patient movement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have at least five (5) years of full-time professional security, law enforcement, or military experience
- Must have at least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a directly related field
- A valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
- Must be able to obtain and pay the Alaska Guard License fee prior to beginning work
- Must obtain a State of Alaska Armed Guard License upon hire
- Must have effective training skills and ability to produce specific training for each Security position
- Must have working knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS)
- Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements
- Must be able to live in dormitory style settings and meet cleanliness requirements
- Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team
- Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision
- Must be able to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift
- Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English
- Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client
