      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Resolve patient accounts by following up on claim submissions and reviewing remittance for insurance collections
      - Conduct research on uncollected account balances through various applications and internet resources
      - Document account statuses and actions taken in the patient accounting system
      - Identify and communicate issues regarding system access, payer behavior, and account workflow inconsistencies
      - Support team members during absences or backlogs to maintain productivity

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business administration or accounting preferred
      - 1-4 years of experience in medical claims and/or hospital collections
      - Basic computer skills and ability to navigate patient accounting applications
      - Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
      - Strong oral and written communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Familiarity with Commercial, Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid collections
      - Intermediate knowledge of Managed Care contracts and billing practices
      - Understanding of hospital billing forms (UB04 and HCFA 1500)
      - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
      - Experience in a call center environment
