What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform insurance verifications using EMR systems
- Handle a high volume of verifications, approximately 80-90 daily
- Reroute calls to appropriate departments as needed
- Maintain knowledge of various insurance types (HMO, PPO, etc.)
- Complete additional duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical insurance verification
- Strong understanding of different insurance types
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with various departments
- Proficient with EMR systems and related technologies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with medical insurance claims processing
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting
