What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical interface with engineering firms on project development
- Prepare and review engineering documents using industry and regulatory standards
- Perform independent design verification and prepare stand-alone electrical calculations
- Demonstrate proficiency with various electrical systems and components, including circuit breakers and inverters
- Prepare procurement specifications in compliance with 10CFR50.59
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS in Engineering
- Minimum of 12 years of Nuclear Electrical experience
- Familiarity with 10 CFR 50.59
- Ability to prepare or review/verify design output documents for internally developed design changes
- Experience in Power System Design and related electrical systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience as a cognizant/oversight engineer or in engineering project management
- More design/project engineering experience than project management-related experience
- Experience with ladder logic, electrical schematics, and computational tools like ETAP and EDISON
- Experience in other industries such as fossil oil/gas power plants, wind, solar, or petrochemical
