      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Develop and coordinate an outpatient coding education program to enhance coder skills and career progression
      - Conduct quality assurance reviews and compliance audits, providing feedback and training based on findings
      - Create and update coding procedures and educational materials for outpatient coders
      - Coordinate ongoing education on coding updates, regulatory changes, and best practices
      - Act as a liaison between coding staff and other departments regarding coding inquiries and issues

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or related field preferred
      - Minimum of five (5) years of progressively complex coding and/or auditing work experience
      - Certified coder through AAPC with a Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) credential
      - Strong knowledge of coding guidelines, CPT, ICD-10, and EHR applications
      - Experience in training and education for groups of varying sizes

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Additional coding certifications in the field are highly desired
      - Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems
      - Proven ability to create training materials and presentations
      - Strong mentorship and coaching skills in a healthcare setting
