What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform follow-ups and update patient data through data entry
- Answer and manage inbound phone calls efficiently
- Handle Electronic Refill Scripts (ERX) and order labs as needed
- Relay lab results to patients and healthcare providers
- Schedule and coordinate follow-up appointments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Assisting or as a Pharmacy Technician
- At least 1 year of experience in a high call volume environment
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), particularly Athena
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and prior authorization processes
- High School Diploma required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus
- Experience with medical records and electronic health records
- Knowledge of insurance processes and front desk operations
