- Review and approve medication orders by interpreting physician orders to ensure proper dosing and administration.
- Identify and address orders that fall outside FDA-approved labeling and guidelines.
- Communicate with prescribers to confirm dosing and administration details.
- Monitor drug therapies to control medications and identify adverse events.
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and storage.
- Conduct outreach and follow-up with patients as required by regulatory agencies.
- Stay updated on pharmacy laws and complete continuing education for license renewal.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and ensure quality assurance protocols are followed.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy staff, providing performance reviews and mentoring.
- Collaborate with call center staff and interact with clients for operational process reviews.
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience as a Pharmacist in a retail or specialty pharmacy setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of FDA health regulations and pharmacology.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making ability.
- Legal compliance and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and ability to manage multiple requests.
- B.S. Pharm degree is required; Pharm.D. is preferred.
- Current and valid Pharmacist state license, in good standing.
- Experience with data entry, pharmacy management, and drug interactions.
Job Title: Pharmacist
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist who will be responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of prescriptions, handling inbound and outbound communications with healthcare providers, and providing medication education to patients and their families. This role involves overseeing the work of pharmacy technicians and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations.
Responsibilities
This is a remote, closed-door, mail-order specialty pharmacy setting. Medications are shipped directly to patients' homes, and the role involves handling high-cost specialty drugs. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-10pm, with shifts potentially starting as early as 6am and including weekend work in the future. Onboarding training lasts approximately two days, followed by a four-week program-specific training from 8:30am-5:00pm EST. Candidates must be available for the entire training duration.

This is a Contract position based out of Lake Mary, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
