What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and optimize remote sensing activities, including LiDAR, imagery, and drone/UAS operations
- Develop and communicate strategic vision and governance for remote sensing and UAV programs
- Manage large-scale remote sensing acquisition projects, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations
- Lead business case development and track benefits realization for remote sensing initiatives
- Translate remote sensing data into actionable insights for asset management and vegetation planning
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience in remote sensing, GIS, geospatial data management, or UAV operations
- Demonstrated experience managing remote sensing and UAV programs in large operational environments
- UAV pilot certifications and/or aviation experience preferred
- Project management certification or equivalent experience (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent) is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with LiDAR data processing and UAV data workflows
- Strong knowledge of remote sensing technologies and UAV operations
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with GIS platforms and data governance principles
