      Salary Range: $30.22 - $41.76

      Position Summary

      Under general direction, provides administrative support with research administration and to research faculty and staff

      Job Responsibilities

      • Coordinates operational and programmatic support for research programs and initiatives, as well as education initiatives as needed.
      • Edits and proposes changes to administrative documents or program requirements.
      • May assist with the development and implementation of the general and project-related budgeting process.
      • May assist with grant preparation and renewal applications.
      • Provides general assistance to faculty and staff in regards to systems and procedures.
      • May coordinate the collection and preparation of appointment paperwork for academic staff.
      • Coordinates visits from external collaborators/visitors. Manages housing arrangements, itineraries, and travel arrangements.
      • May oversee support staff. Delegates work assignments and responsible for disciplinary actions.
      • Ensures program(s) meets all regulatory requirements.
      • Oversees equipment and computer tagging and connection requests and manages email and other system access for staff.
      • Responsible for procurement activities related to goods, services, and/or equipment as needed.
      • Responsible for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed.
      • Generates reports for analysis.
      • Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and/or reagents. May order supplies/equipment/reagents as authorized or ensure that needs are escalated appropriately. Receives supply orders and confirms accuracy of delivery. May assist with cost control.
      • Ensures that facilities and equipment are in optimal and proper working condition. Coordinates preventative maintenance and repairs as needed. May perform minor repairs if qualified and as needed. May advise on upgrades for performance enhancements.
      • Coordinates calendars and schedules appointments and meetings. Prioritizes requests for meetings and coordinates the necessary arrangements for meetings.
      • Maintains electronic and hard copy files and databases. Maintains integrity of information.
      • Responsible for travel and conference arrangements. Organizes itinerary, makes appropriate reservations for travel and accommodations.

      Education

      • High School Diploma

    Experience

    Bachelor's degree is preferred.

    Approximately 2 years of prior relevant experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of research grants is highly desired.
