What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of research administration and grant management
- Prepare, submit, and ensure compliance of complex research proposals and budgets
- Coordinate with faculty and staff on grant-related activities and maintain accurate records
- Monitor and manage budgets for complex sponsored projects, ensuring timely expenditures and reconciliations
- Assist with the closure of sponsored project accounts and submission of final reports to funding agencies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in grants administration
- Knowledge of federal and university regulations regarding research administration
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with faculty, staff, and funding agencies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Familiarity with S2S and SUBS systems
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, and Workday Software
- Experience in analyzing funding trends and grant reporting metrics
- Knowledge of agency guidelines and compliance requirements
