What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of research administration, including proposal preparation and submission
- Coordinate with faculty and staff to ensure compliance with federal and university regulations regarding sponsored projects
- Manage budgets and track expenditures for complex sponsored projects and grants
- Prepare and submit final reports and ensure closure of sponsored project accounts
- Serve as a liaison between faculty, department administrators, and external agencies for grant-related information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in grants administration
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of S2S and SUBS systems and agency guidelines
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, IBM Cognos Analytics, and Workday Software
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with grant administration and compliance processes
