- Develop an understanding of fundamental credit research through the credit training program that concludes with a presentation to members of the investment team
- Provide support to the existing credit research team, including, but not limited to, updating financial models and other ad hoc research requests
- Assist in the coverage of a small universe of companies, including the analysis of earnings, news, financials, and other relevant information
- Maintain spreadsheets and databases that support the investment process
- Complete projects to further enhance the overall credit research process
- To qualify for internship, applicants must be currently enrolled full-time at a college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting major preferred)
- Internships are not available for students who have completed their undergraduate education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship
- Familiarity with financial statement analysis
- Strong written & verbal communications communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Reliable, dependable
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or Capital IQ
Job Description Summary
PLEASE NOTE: We are looking to hire two (2) full-time, summer interns, with the interns working out of our Chicago, IL or Cedar Rapids, IA offices and under a hybrid work model. These internships are not available for students who have completed their college undergraduate education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internships.

Position Overview:
The Research Analyst Internship is structured to develop the candidate’s quantitative and analytical skills as it relates to investing in corporate bonds and bank loans. The candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their credit research skill set through formal and informal training that includes a credit training program as well as coverage of a small universe of companies. As part of the internship the candidate will interact and develop relationships with senior credit analysts, portfolio managers and other members of the investment team. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to further enhance the credit research process through some project work.Job Description
