Rate donors and prospects in terms of capacity and inclination, and develop strategic recommendations in consultation with front-line fundraising colleagues
Uphold all fundraising and prospect research professional standards and expectations
Collaborate and respond to requests from development staff, adhering to deadlines, maintaining positive, productive relationships and advise them about identification, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to maximize fundraising effectiveness
Analyze, interpret, and summarize financial disclosure documents for purposes of wealth assessment
Conduct in-depth research on individuals, corporations, and foundations, utilizing confidential files and print, electronic, and online resources
Prospect management knowledge, including ensuring that the activity and movement of prospects through the fundraising cycle is coordinated through the database
Create financial qualifications and in-depth financial profiles, and rate current and prospective donor investors for various University fundraising initiatives and volunteer leadership opportunities
Knowledge of multiple screening strategies and methodologies, including (but not limited to) constituent list segmentation on the basis of limited, specific variables such as zip code, age, sex or other demographic data; external, electronic database screening and peer group screening
Work with team on priority requests and special projects ensuring that all deadlines are met with quality product
Collaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect information
Strong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, writing, and by phone
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Problem solver who can take initiative and set priorities while being flexible · Ability to represent the institution well

Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects
Proficiency with and working towards mastery with retrieving and analyzing prospect data to inform cultivation strategies as well as individual and team-level prospect pool management
Advanced computer skills that include significant knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) and of development, major donor, gift databases and fundraising
Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures
Excellent customer relation skills, communication and follow through
Bachelor’s degree
Advanced degree preferred with experience in development, financial services, higher education, fundraising and/or relevant experience in a donor research field.

Research Analyst
The ASU Foundation (ASUF) fosters partnerships between ASU and like-minded individuals, corporations and foundations who believe in ASU’s mission and provide resources for ASU to manifest its charter into meaningful impact.
In partnership with fundraising staff members, the Research Analyst will identify new and qualify existing donor investors through innovative, systematic, prospect identification processes and will assist in the development of strategies for engaging and cultivating major gift donors. Depending on area of assignment, donor prospects could be individuals, corporations and/or organizations.
