      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Read and classify open-ended poll responses for analysis
      - Collaborate with fellow student research assistants on coding tasks
      - Assist in the analysis of public sentiment regarding political issues and events
      - Engage with new software tools to aid in research processes
      - Contribute to the Mood of the Nation Poll, enhancing understanding of public opinion

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Availability to work in the Susan Welch Liberal Arts Building for at least 3 to 5 hours per week
      - Willingness to learn new software and work collaboratively with peers
      - No prior experience or specific skills required
      - Successful completion of background checks in accordance with University policies
      - Commitment to contributing to a respectful and inclusive work environment

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Interest in political science, sociology, or related fields
      - Previous research experience, even if informal or volunteer-based
      - Familiarity with qualitative data analysis methods
      - Strong communication skills for effective collaboration
      - Enthusiasm for learning and engaging with diverse viewpoints
