What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and manage multiple research projects focused on gene therapy and neurodegeneration
- Contribute to grant writing and secure funding for research initiatives
- Supervise and mentor junior trainees and research staff
- Utilize advanced techniques in electrophysiology and imaging for research studies
- Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with research protocols
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience post-degree in a related area of research
- Proficiency in laboratory skills and techniques, including data management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to work well in a collegial team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in writing grant applications to support research work
- Background as a postdoctoral research fellow in a relevant field
- Familiarity with computer programming as it relates to research methodologies
