      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide general bioinformatics analysis support for omic projects, including data analysis and software compilations
      - Summarize data analysis results suitable for drafting reports and make preliminary interpretations
      - Develop, test, and maintain modular software pipelines for genome sequencing and analysis
      - Manage data by loading, querying, and transforming it from various database systems
      - Offer solutions to investigators' problems through data mining and extraction

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Biology, or Bioinformatics required; MS or PhD preferred
      - Seven (7) years of experience in a research environment with knowledge in algorithms, scientific computing, and machine learning/statistics
      - Seven (7) years of experience in manipulating, analyzing, and annotating large genomic data sets

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in developing bioinformatics tools and pipelines
      - Familiarity with high-throughput sequencing platforms such as 454, Illumina, and Pacific Biosciences
      - Proven ability to educate and mentor others in bioinformatics and computational biology
