What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and submit proposals in collaboration with research faculty
- Review funding announcements and ensure compliance with funder requirements
- Manage budgets and track expenditures
- Oversee portfolios of faculty and reconcile award funds
- Conduct outreach to maintain operational efficiencies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 2 years of professional experience, or a Master's degree in a relevant area of study
- Basic understanding of scientific research and familiarity with Excel
- Strong organizational and financial management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple needs simultaneously
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in research administration or project management
- Knowledge of basic accounting or economics
- Technical expertise in designing spreadsheets and budgets
- Familiarity with NIH proposals, Foundation proposals, subrecipients, labor and effort, and training
