- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Master's/PhD preferred.
- Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of research, biomedical, or clinical experience.
- Experience designing and managing research programs preferred.
- Experience in program budget tracking, reporting, and risk management preferred.
- Proven experience engaging with senior leaders to facilitate decision-making preferred.
- Some experience driving continuous program improvement projects preferred.
- 5-7 years experience in healthcare delivery or healthcare research industries preferred.
- Experience with common data models like i2b2, OMOP, or PCORnet.
- Preferred experience with Epic EHR, Microsoft Azure/Synapse/Power BI, and Workday ERP.
- Experience with managing clinical research/clinical data teams.
- Understanding data management and governance concepts such as data quality, metadata, dependency management, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to learn, adapt and apply new technologies.
- Mature institution-wide data and analytics capabilities that drive self-service/self-sufficiency and facilitate greater access to global research networks and programs
- Manage the development, delivery, and program integration of cutting edge and robust cloud-based common data model(s) to support analytics solutions across the clinical and clinical research portfolios
- Develop governance structure(s) and integrate the capabilities of a common data model platform to enhance the research abilities and reach of the organization
- Communicate effectively with executive-level stakeholders, oversight sponsors, and project teams in a timely manner including escalating issues & risks appropriately
- Effectively manage program and projects against timelines and milestones
- Understand workflows, processes and terminology in the clinical and research areas at St. Jude
- Build partnerships across the clinical and research portfolios
- Collaborate with clinical and clinical research stakeholders, end users, leadership, and subject matter experts to understand current and future goals
- Review design with team members to ensure institutional data management framework is being understood, followed, and matured within a defined governance structure
- Work closely with Solutions Architects, Business SMEs and other stakeholders throughout the analytics development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of robust and reusable data models
- Implement a formal process for requesting, reviewing, and approving changes to the data model
- Integrate stakeholders from different departments to ensure the data model meets their needs for current and future projects
- Establish a program that maintains data standards using multiple date sources to ensure consistency in data definitions, formats, and usage
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability through data validation, cleansing, and regular audits
- Define policies for data usage, access, and sharing to protect data integrity and privacy
- Develop and enforce data management policies and standards to ensure consistency and compliance
- Regularly profile data to understand its quality and identify issues.
- Implement processes and tools for data cleansing to address inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and duplicates.

St. Jude is looking for a Research Program Manager - Clinical Research Informatics. This is the role for you if you are passionate about working with clinical researchers and project teams to help develop and implement data management programs and solutions.
The Program Manager is key to supporting a wide range of operational data needs, including developing and integrating data management and governance policies, developing formal processes for reviewing and approving data model changes and translating clinical research needs into data/technology nomenclature. You will excel at this job through collaborating with clinical research partners and technical developers to truly understand their data needs, putting yourself in their shoes, thinking a few steps ahead of them in delivering high quality data models to research areas such as Oncology, Hematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases. You have some understanding of clinical and clinical research workflows and always willing to learn new business processes to truly understand customer's day to day operations and decipher how analytics will be able to serve them daily. Through this work you will enhance the ability for St. Jude to participate in cutting-edge research projects on a local and large scale. You will also help mature the overall data and analytics technology platform and service delivery strategy that aligns with St. Jude priorities and promotes an institution-wide data-driven culture.

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $86,320 - $154,960 per year for the role of Research Program Manager- Clinical Research Informatics.
