What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct historical research by processing, interpreting, and summarizing various archival media
- Develop historical research reports on assigned topics for faculty book projects and articles
- Perform diligent fact-checking, citation management, and bibliographic work
- Provide revisions and editorial assistance on faculty publications
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support the department's research goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related History field
- Extensive experience in historical archival research
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Availability for 20 scheduled hours per week
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with a range of archival sources and databases
- Familiarity with citation styles and bibliographic software
- Previous experience in an academic research setting
